CJ was my second Cocker adoption. And the hardest for me to lose. I had him 3 years before I found a lump on his face, and it was cancer. They could not operate, or give chemo or do radiation. He was a sweet gentle dog, who was blind before I got him, and the rescue paid for surgery to fix his eyes. He was always getting ear infections. It's a cocker thing. But, through it all, he was loving and affectionate. He never knew how to play with toys, but he was always close to me. His groomer called him a grumpy, little old man. To me he was a good friend. When it was time to end his pain, Stephanie and I took him in and we were with him till the end. I think he knew we were there and that we loved him. His first family gave up on him cause he was getting old and was broken. It never stopped or bothered me that he was old and had faults. I still cry for him.
